The BD-Power 1045220 Super "B" Single Turbocharger is the ultimate drop-in replacement for your 94-02 Dodge 5.9L Cummins. Designed in a joint engineering effort between BD Diesel Performance and Borg Warner Turbo Systems AirWerks program, the Super "B" Turbochargers for the 5.9 liter Cummins engine flow enough air for racing applications, yet are responsive and durable enough for street and heavy towing applications. Turbocharger lag is usually the result of an improperly matched turbocharger. As the compressor wheel size is increased to meet the airflow requirements of the engine, it gets heavier, which hurts response time. BD's turbo systems, using Borg Warners unique Extended Tip compressor wheel technology and low inertia, full-floating journal bearings, outperforms ball bearing turbochargers of a similar size.
Our unique dual-volute turbine housing picks up low rpm exhaust pulses for improved turbine response, while the dual-action waste gate bleeds off turbine drive pressure from both volutes. BD's turbo systems also feature a heavy-duty waste gate actuator that prevents pre-mature opening caused by high exhaust pressure. You can even fine-tune your BD/AirWerks turbo for ambient temperature and barametric pressure changes using BD's adjustable waste gate control.
Put simply, you'll get more power, quicker response, cooler EGT's and lower exhaust emissions with a BD/AirWerks turbocharger! And, you'll have the added benefit of proven journal bearing technology--the very same used in 99% of the turbochargers produced in the world since 1921.
SINGLE TURBO SYSTEMS
All of BD's single turbo systems are designed for easy, bolt-on replacement. This is a complete kit, not just a turbo but all the parts needed for installation. It has BD's adjustable waste gate, down pipe and for some applications an exhaust adapter is included for stock exhaust mounting. If you want the turbo seperately, just ask for it.
Super B Single: Designed for 94-07 applications, the Super B Single supports modified applications making up to 425 rwhp. The Super B single offers quick spool-up, cooler EGT's and no surging. It's ideal for street, towing and mild competition applications, and can easily be upgraded to a twin system for even more power.
1994-1999 stock engines have the 12 sq cm w/g hsg that can be quite restrictive when the power is increased above 300 flywheel HP and results in high exhaust temperature.
2001 automatic transmission equipped engines have a 9 or 10 sq cm hsg that is too restrictive for a high power increase (beyond the 300 hp)

definately better than stock but the egt still get too high for my taste on a grade unloaded i can peg a 1500* egt gauge no problem take a lot longer than the stock turbo but i can do it still. similar spool to stock and egt under normal driving condition has improved though and i really like that there is a twin add on kit for this turbo that i plan on aquiring later. order number 895205

24 valve with six speed, 100hp injector, edge comp, air dog K&n intake. sick turbo 48 psi of boost and quick spool up. the bad part is that my center force clutch just wont put the power to the ground in sixth gear. I've bought all my bolt on for xdp good customer service and fast shipping.

Installed this on my 2001 cummins with the edge juice and 100hp sticks it spools quick! Lowered EGT's! Great product!!!

i got this for my 01 cummins and it was worse than stock turbo, i didnt see even 25 psi and i have 110 injectors, edge, smarty, 150 airdog, 5in exhaust to 8 inch stack, ATS valve body. afe intake, and the only thing they could say to me as why i wasnt maken alot of boost is i need to add more fuel to my truck, haha yeah. i put the aurora 5000 on, and man what a huge difference. i think you could get a better turbo for a little more money.

Awesome product for the money and great install. Only took a few hours to do it. Only problem was with the oil drain, it got in the way of the wastegate arm. But with a EDGE comp and 150 HP injectors it really lights quick. Havent seen about 1250 EGTs and I have really hammered on it so far. Definatly worth it overall!
