Simple install for some peace of mind.

Very easy to install. Seems to work as stated. Will only know for sure if/when pressure drops. I have Airdog lift pump on 2001 Dodge 3500 with a pressure gauge installed on the pump. Was concerned that if a blockage or problem occurred between the lift pump and the VP44 (like maybe a clogged filter) I may not know until it was too late. This is just for peace of mind or insurance. Installed LED beside the fuel pressure gauge on pillar pod and the switch on the VP44 by replacing the schrader valve. Lights for a few seconds when starting, then goes out. Took about 30 minutes to install. So far so good.

Purchased the kit to let me know when its time to replace the fuel pump on my 03 Ram 3500 DRW. Install was a breeze and now I have peace of mind that a costly failure isn't happening. Order (#1194264)

Questions and Answers

On 01 Dodge my LED light flickers pretty much constantly when accelerating and maintaining speed. Is this normal?
View Staff Answer
Answer

This is not normal and could be indicating that your fuel pump is either on its way out or your fuel filter may need changing. (The light should be out at all times unless there is a problem that’s causing pressure to drop below 5 PSI.)

Light goes on when truck is off and turns off when turned on
View Staff Answer
Answer

This is normal. The light will come on with the Key in the ON position, but not running. This is because pressure is less than 5 PSI with the engine off. Once the engine is started you will have fuel pressure above the 5PSI warning point and should trigger the light to go off. If the light is on while the truck is running, then your warning system is working and you pressure must be less than 5PSI. (This could be a clogged fuel filter or a lift pump/injection pump issue.)

CAn I get just the sender? I already have one installed but the sender failed. If so, how do I order?
