Description
XDP carries the BD-Power 1041210 Billet Flex Plate that is massive upgrade over the stock flex plate in your 47RH/47RE/48RE equipped truck. A modified diesel engine's power and torque might crack or even destroy the factory flex plate. This flex plate has been tested to handle over 2000 lb-ft of torque, or up to 3500 lb-ft with the addition of the BD Slip Eliminator shim kit. This flex plate is manufactured from forged billet steel, precision-balanced, and SFI approved for use in race applications, with double the material of the factory flex plate. This unit fits any stock and most aftermarket torque converter and are economical enough to replace with a converter or transmission swap. Black oxide coated to resist corrosion and avoid hydrogen embrittlement, which can cause cracking. This flex plate replaces the factory unit with a direct bolt-on replacement. Great for competition, towing, or daily driving!

Fits perfect. Much heavier and thicker than the factory plate. After logging a thousand miles on it with a lot of heavy towing it is obvious the factory flex plate was causing shudders and just was not up to the work. This plate is smooth and solid and its design of it is just clearly a great Product resolving a bad design for the original.

I had a problem with this shudder that I could not track down, it only happened when i lay into it. I had just gotten a new tranny so i knew for sure it was not that and not the torque convertor either by process of elimination i came up with the flexplate and now this thing is smooth as butter turns out my factory flexplate was warped and i had no idea the factory one is awfully weak, great product worth its weight in gold

I ripped the center of the factory flexplate out completely. I bought this, shipping was fast, made the engine run smoother. Heard a humming sound before the flexplate failed, It's better to replace factory flexplate before it goes out, because IT WILL!

The difference between this and stock is just amazing and you can tell right out of the box that it's a quality part. I ordered it and received it next day which was a huge bonus as well. I chose this one after a buddy of mine put one on a dodge making twice the power of mine and the peace of mind to know I've eliminated another weak point in the dodge drive line is well worth the money on its own. Not sure if it's stated on the site but it does come with a 3 year 150k mile warranty
