Diaphragm style pressure plate with light pedal pressure, 12 ceramic buttons per side of disc,  up to 650 hp with ductile flywheel - not SFI approved.
 
The South Bend Street Dual Disc Clutch is the perfect option for the truck that does it all. From daily-driven street performance to towing, the 13" diaphragm style 3250lb. pressure plate offers maximum holding power with easy pedal effort. An industry first! South Bend has developed an organic friction in a button form allowing for a dual friction, dual disc clutch. The organic lining will be facing the pressure place and flywheel for smooth engagement yet still offers superior holding power. All the clutch components in this assembly are made of steel. The center plate is lugged to fit the flywheel. This complete clutch has no special requirements for install. It is a direct replacement of the OEM clutch.

The Street Dual Disc is not intended for use in competition applications such as sled pulling.

NV4500 1-3/8" Input Shaft Upgrade (Recommended): The 1-3/8" Input Shaft Upgrade Kit will upgrade the 1-1/4" input shaft that is currently in your NV4500. Input Shaft Kit includes: 1-3/8" input shaft, bearing retainer with seal, front bearing and race, pancake bearing as well as the thrust bearing.

Installed 6 months ago on my 99 with nv4500. Could not ask for a better clutch. Very streetable slip in between gears. I cannot make this clutch slip though i'm pretty much stock. The rpms do come down a little bit slower in between gears but within a week i was adjusted and cannot remember how to shift the truck without it. No hyds necessary. Also did the 1 3/8 input shaft conversion. Word of advice. If doing both do not install the input shaft into transmission until last. Use the rubber alignment tool to get it close then use input shaft to finish clutch disk alignment as the double disk setup is too heavy for alignment with the plastic tool... it will bend on you making reinstallation very fun. It is a little noisy with the clutch in but its nothing terrible and i can barely hear it over my engine. Recommend to anyone. Wish i could give it more stars.

Didn't know when I bought this clutch that it wouldn't hold up to sled pulling after the thread pull clutch started to slip I called south bend and found out that they didn't recumend this clutch for pulling.

200,000 miles later on 2007 dodge dually 475 hp still doing good no complaints. Worth the money.

I have an 06 cummins one ton dually with a flatbed. at 65,000 the stock clutch went out. my dad put another stock clutch in and started to haul heavy loads and it went out again at 94,000 so i looked in to double disc clutch and ended up buying this one its a great clutch no slips on hills towing 10,000 pounds up the summit no slip in town smokin fords at red light it holds hyper tech on level 3 and edge ez chip on stage 3 the overall HP between the truck 340 hp stock and hyper tech 176 hp the edge ez chip is 65hp you do the math.Light pedal effort shift nice. Two problems one is the price and the second is the stick moves a little slower

Handles everything all day. No slip. Shifts like stock and no extra pedal pressure. Edge EZ, PPE Xcle, Fass 150, Amsoil Bypass. GET ONE, can't go wrong, make sure you call and find your exact application needs.
