The X-Wheel is designed to eliminate the common compressor surge in most stock 99.5-03 7.3L Powerstrokes. The altered wheel design increases airflow resulting in all-around better performance at higher boost levels.

The X-Wheel is designed for Stock Turbo's, not high-performance/ball bearing turbo's.

Installation of the X-Wheel will take approximately 3-4 hours. We highly recommend that installation is done by a professional mechanic.

The x-wheel did exactly what was advertised. I have a slightly built 2000 F-250 SD 7.3L and I use it often for towing. Since installing the x-wheel, I have seen quicker spooling and better throttle response. The surge problem I had is gone! Also, the sound is much more pleasing than the stock compressor wheel. All in all, I am very pleased to have purchased this product. Shipping was free and prompt and customer service is wonderful.
worth the money

This is without a doubt worth the money. Got it installed by diesel doctor in platville. I highly recommend having a shop install it. I pulled off the turbo, and had a shop install it. That way then, they can inspect the charger. I noticed a definite power boost, lowered egts, quicker spool up, and a sweet turbo whistle. Not to mention it got rid of that annoying turbo surge. Your not gonna waste your money with this fancy doo-hicky!
Best, cheapest upgrade yet

My truck was low on power and already had a muffler delete and k&n drop in. Original wheel was toast, just flat out worn out. Replaced the and she runs as good as new and in about an hour and a halfs work.
Cheap solution to surge and add more turbo noise

Bought this after MBRP turbo back exhaust and S&B intake system installed. This wheel for sure does what it says - takes care of the surge. Also it adds a slight freight-liner effect but not as much as I have expected which wasn't my goal anyways. Install is pretty complicated if the right tools and knowledge are not available. I was a VW tech for 3 years so that helped. I recommend taking off the turbo to replace the wheel it's around 4 extra bolts to undo and it will make your day. By taking off the turbo it makes it easier to work with it on bench and to inspect it. Also you might find out that you exhaust flange donut gaskets are leaking at the "Y" that bolt to the turbo as I found out. Overall great product for great price.
