The HD Water/Methanol Injection Kit includes all the features necessary to do water/meth injection right. No hidden costs or optional components are required. Unlike other popular kits on the market, AEM includes a five-gallon tank with a fluid level sensor standard. Another standard feature is the boost-dependent, variable-flow progressive controller, which determines the amount of water/methanol mixture (up to 50%) to feed into the inlet stream. Flow adjustments at the inlet are made via three supplied jets that are designed to match most engine power requirements.

FIVE-GALLON TANK DIMENSIONS AND MORE INFO.

The new five-gallon tank that is included in the HD Water/Methanol Injection Kit measures approximately 21-inches in length, 8-inches in width, and 10-inches in height. The tank is constructed of high-density polyethylene, which is very resistant to chemicals and moisture, making the material ideal for your water/methanol mixture. In addition, mounting the reservoir will be safe and secure with reinforced 1-inch mounting tabs that are located at each corner.

Methanol and Propane Dont Mix

To the above reviewer: If you want to see actual results from your Water/Meth Injection you need to take propane out of the equation. Propane, Diesel, and Methanol all burn at different speeds (1/2/3 respectively) and have had bad results when all in combination in the past. You could use your current setup and just use water for cooling aspects, but if you drop propane from the equation and use 50/50 instead you will see better results since methanol burns cooler and later in combustion cycle.

After finding a location for the 5gal tank the install was simple and easy. no leaks and fit perfect to the AFE spider Y 1/8npt holes. Here is a BIG tip... and it has taken me a long while to figure this all out, so learn from my mistake. When you read the instructions it states to use 2x550ml/min nozzles in I believe 500+hp diesel engines. disregard the nozzle info in the .pdf install sheet on the site. comes with one 300ml/min and 2x550ml/min nozzles. anyway I put both 550 nozzles in and on a constant boost pull on a constant incline turning the system on or off does not effect the EGT max, or how fast the EGT's climbs. I tried it with both 100% water and 50/50. yes I can feel the power with the 50/50. the only other thing I have found to do is buy larger nozzles to get the desired cooling while towing (and a much larger res.) a flow of 1.1L/min is just too low for a 7.3L engine. people I know run 5gal/min in 3L diesels. Now don't get me wrong about the kit, it gives a perfect stable, flexible platform to work with. I just have not found the cooling I am looking for with the nozzles provided. just for background on the truck to give a base line to what I am working with, everything but turbo, nitrous and propane has been done. injectors are 160cc.
