Description
The AFE 77-44009 Scorcher HD Module increases the power and performance in your 2016-2022 GM Colorado/Canyon 2.8L Duramax. The Scorcher HD Module includes a high quality case & wire harness with factory style connectors for an easy plug & play installation. A LED light switch provides In-Cabin On-The-Fly power adjustments. The 4-Power settings are adjustable with one button and the LED light represent the settings: Stock (Green), Sport (Yellow), Sport+ (Orange) and Race (Red) . This performance module increase turbo boost and fuel pressure. It improves vehicle performance and throttle response. In testing, this module resulted in significant +25 horsepower and up to +40 lbs. x ft. of torque verified by our in house dyno.

In-Cabin On-the-Fly Power Adjustments:
SCORCHER HD modules features In-Cabin On-the-Fly power adjustment to accommodate any situation. This adjustment is controlled by via LED light switch with a button that can be easily mounted in any location in the cabin.

I purchased the Scorcher Module directly from the showroom in Wall Township and picked it up later at the warehouse in Lakewood. It was installed by an AFE authorized installer and I noticed an immediate improvement in performance after driving away from the shop. However, 10 minutes after leaving the installation shop, the ECM started throwing codes. I took it back and the installation shop told me that the module had to "learn" how I drive and then it would stop generating codes. I informed AFE and they told me that their engineers have never heard of the code generated: "P244A, Low DEF differential pressure". I continued to update AFE and told them that since the problem had not cleared up, I was having someone remove the module. Once removed, the truck behaved normally and I have not had an issue in two weeks. Bottom Line: yes, it works, but you may have some issues crop up that you didn't count on.

Much improved throttle response, great for improving drive ability around town. Didn't notice much difference is actual power/torque, but is comes on more quickly and makes the truck much more pleasant to drive.
