Description
Replace the failed Injection Pressure Regulator (IPR) in your Ford 6.0L Powerstroke with the Alliant Injection Pressure Regulator Valve AP63417. The IPR valve is a critical part of your Powerstroke engine as it regulates the pressure of the oil coming from the High Pressure Oil Pump (HPOP) to the fuel injectors. If the IPR fails, the valve will usually bleed off more pressure than necessary, which may prevent the injectors from firing. Common symptoms of a faulty IPR can include a rough idle, injector surging, hard start or no start, and stalling.

Had a code for open IPR circuit and crank no start. Bought a parts store new IPR, and truck ran like crap but started. The truck ran perfectly before the IPR code, so decided to order a brand-name unit. Popped it in, now she's back to running smoothly. If I could find a legitimate Motorcraft IPR then I would have ordered it, but this unit is the only worthwhile alternative.

IPR valve is black and doesn’t match the picture. No markings indicating that it was made by Alliant. Haven’t installed it yet. Will give an update after install.
