Open the door and this full-length running board automatically deploys for easy stepping in and out of the cab. Close the doors and this sure-footed step platform retracts safely under the truck with no loss of ground clearance.

(1) Diodes Required. GM trucks and SU Vs, model years 1999-2002, require four (4) additional diodes that are not included in the standard parts kit. Out of all the mods I have done to my rig, these are probably my favorite. I have had them for over a year, and have experienced zero problems with them. You get the best of both worlds: Easier entry into the vehicle(especially useful on lifted trucks), and no loss of ground clearance(like with traditional nerf bars). I still get amazed people who'll come up to me out of the blue just to ask about the steps. Sometimes they even ask if they can open the door to watch the steps deploy. Hahaha...I just love them! Installation took me about three hours, and I did it in my driveway with basic hand tools.
