The easiest transmission mod you can make!

High volumes of cool transmission fluid equate to long transmission life. BD’s deep aluminum pans increase oil capacity, while aluminum construction and heat-dissipating fins keep temperature down. As an added bonus, the pan’s increased rigidity prevents case twisting.

  • Magnetic drain plug
  • Temperature sending unit port
  • Replacement Gasket
Holds 4.5 quarts more fluid than stock pan.

Nice, heavy pan
Jeff (Norco, CA) 9/2/2011 12:58 PM
Truck: 2011 Ram Megacab 3500 4x4 Pan was easy to instal with basic tools. No suprises on the install. If you can change the oil on your truck, you can put this on. My only gripe is from BD iteself. The pan comes with a fiber gasket. My pan appeared to be factory sealed from BD. The gasket was not secured in anyway or sandwiched in cardboard. As a result, the gasket was bent in shiping and a 1" tear resulted from that. Completely unusable. I didn't complain to XDP beacuse even if they sent a new one, I had to have the truck back together that day. I could not find a gasket instock at ANY autoparts store within 50 miles. I ended up using Permatex transmission gasket maker since the stock pan uses the same. the guys at Dodge said that is they way they would have done it anyway as the ATF compatable gasket maker is prefered over the solid fiber gasket to them. I let it set up for about 4 hours and filled it up. Just towed 10k pounds no issues to speak of. My tranny temp dropped about 5-10 degrees with the pan. If your truck has some miles on it, I would also suggest changing out the 2 tranny filters while your disassembled. Just makes sense, ya know?

Product fits and looks great. Tranny temps have gone down. Only gripe in the transaction was the processing and shipping, took over a week to process my order and then another two weeks to get it.
