Increasing the internal size of manifolds or feed pipes can result in temperature drop resulting in lower turbocharger drive pressure. BD designed manifolds use more consistent port sizing and heavier construction to improve flow and reduce temperature drop. BD-Power 6.7L Exhaust Manifolds are cast from high silicon ductile iron and have expansion joints to allow for growth when heated rather than cracking like the stock application. Extra material in the turbo mount area and webbing between the ports is added for increased strength.
