With the OEM ball joint design, frequent maintenance is required to prevent side-to-side movement of the front axle which can cause wear, hammering, wandering and the dreaded “Death Wobble” - BD’s Track Bar is the perfect solution for steering stability and is a great compliment to BD’s Steering Box Stabilizer. Plus, it is adjustable to accommodate up to 3-4” lifts!

RETIRED
Elliott Richardson (Kennedy,AL.) 10/28/2011 8:49 AM
I got this back in the summer just now put it on.I have a 2001 2500 4x4 about 150,00 miles on it. I found it was not a difficult job once I got started. Installing it was pretty easy I then took it to the front end shop for alignment they liked the way it looked an was surprised they had not seen 1 of these. I now have both of the front end parts on made by BD-Power. I would suggest getting both parts when you notice you start getting any play in the front end. I am very pleased with its handling on road an off road.

Good product but huge hassle installing

I drive a 94 Cummins. The instructions make it look easier than it actually is. BD forgot to do a little research and I had to find the hard way after everything was already drilled. When I called them they thought I was an idiot until they researched it, but I was too far into the project to turn back. The track bar on a 94 has a different diameter on the mount for the track bar so I had to drill it out and forego using the tapered collar. If I wouldn't have purchased an angle drill and shortened the bit this would've required to remove the front diff cover. After getting past this I went to thread the Pass side of the track bar on which has left handed threads. The threads were off so bad you couldn't even thread on the center piece. So $196 later BD shipped me the new parts. They were good to work with over the phone and very helpful I just don't think for $420 plus $130 for an angle drill and $196 for new parts and $46 to have a machine shop fix the left handed threads on the nut can deserve 5 stars. If it didn't perform as well as it did after I got the right parts I wouldve given it zero stars for the hassle. However it did more for my Dodge's front end than anything else I've done. I already had BD's steering box stabilizer and Skyjacker dual steering stabilizer, but the track bar made the front end solid. If you buy it make sure everything threads together and also add a washer on the front of the crossmember where the two bolts go through the 9/16 collar and not just the back. one of mine collapsed while I was setting the torque to 25 ft lbs.
