Description

The Bestop PowerBoard NX has all the same features as PowerBoard, PLUS we've added patent pending wireless technology that greatly reduces installation time and effort. This is the evolution of powered running boards.PowerBoard NX builds on the success and continuous improvements of the original PowerBoard. NX adds patent pending Wi-Fi technology, so the board is easier and faster to install.

Because of the WiFi components, PowerBoard NX installs in less time than the original PowerBoards, and for the first time, does not require any contact with the interior of the vehicle.  This means no door panels, kick panels, kick plates or carpets, are touched; no cutting, splicing or tapping in to the complicated wiring harness. The PowerBoard is an automatic running board that hides underneath your truck when doors are closed and extends to meet your foot when door opens.

Complete kit includes two steps, wiring harness with controller, weatherproof motors, LED light kit and hardware. The NX kit adds 4 door sensors and a receiver unit. All PowerBoards feature an integrated light kit, coated fasteners to resist corrosion and a heavy duty, weatherproof, pressure sensitive , pinch-proof technology motor to assure safety and workability for years to come. The PowerBoardNX has new Patent Pending wireless technology that makes it a whole lot smarter, and a whole lot easier to install. But thats not the entire story. Its also the end result of several years worth of continuous improvement and testing of every single component, on every PowerBoard, wired or WiFi.

Features:
  • 3-Year 36,000 Mile Warranty
  • Opens with both front and rear door, driver and passenger
  • 6.25" extra wide extruded aluminum step with a durable powdercoat finish
  • Sturdy, cast aluminum arms allow step to descend up to six includes for comfortable stepping height
  • Each PowerBoard can hold up to 600lb load capacity PER SIDE and have been climate and salt spray tested to operate in any climate
  • Extension arm is available to provide an additional 2 inches of height for lifted trucks

Linkages
The PowerBoard supports 600 pounds
per side, and thats unchanged. But our
engineers realized they could make
them even stronger with some changes
to the linkages. Like buttresses on
the motor mounts.
Testing
All PowerBoards have been tested in
real world conditions and in laboratories.
They meet stringent OE truck
requirements, and theyre the most
rigorously tested product ever at
Bestop. But were not done: testing
continues every single day.
Wedge Block
Our continuous improvement goes
this deep: the wedge block now has
a slightly different shape than the
original design. It provides a much
larger clamping surface. That reduces
slippage, and that reduces problems.
Controller
Usually we try to make things quicker,
but we discovered that slowing down
the board made it more elegant. More
refined. More like the OE boards. It also
gives kids a bit more time to get in the
back doors: the PowerBoard waits for
them.
Wiring Harness
It was just four little wires. But removing
those four door wires from the
harness means NOTHING goes inside
the cab. Fewer headaches for installers,
with no door panels, carpets, or
kickplates being removed.
Separate System
Because the PowerBoardNX doesnt
tap into the trucks wiring, theres no
chance of conflict with other aftermarket
items, like door alarms or remote
starters.

Note: Due to the body style on the 2015+ Dodge trucks, PowerBoards may need to be shimmed for proper installation.

Questions and Answers

Are these reliable? What about past models? Past units have reportedly had motor, etc., problems, preventing retraction.

I have observed more than a few trucks on the street with your boards in the down position. Have you resolved this? What say you?

Answer

The NEW Bestop PowerBoard NX takes out the guess work out of the installation and also due to the simple design it makes the install much easier. This also cuts down issues on installation errors where the boards may have malfunctioned in the past.

Bestop, the manufacturer has also switched to a newer motor design that has been working flawlessly for them. On top of that, they have great customer service and offer a 3-Year/36,000 mile warranty.

Please give us a call at 1-888-DIESEL-4 if you have any additional questions.

How low does the running board drop in commparison to stock running board on ford 2015 f250? Looking at getting this however your competitor drops about 4 inches lower than the stock running board. My truck is lifted and would like the power board to drop a little lower.

Answer

The BESTOP POWERBOARD NX WIRELESS RUNNING BOARDS drop down about 6" and out 2" to create a stair-step into your truck. If you would like Bestop also offers extensions that will increase the drop another 2”. These extensions can be located here.
