Power steering upgrade box for 1994-2002 Dodge full size trucks. Remanufactured Delphi 600 series power steering box with a 14:1 ratio.

Borgeson has sourced a modern Delphi integral power steering gearbox to replace the early 60’s Saginaw technology used in your Dodge pick-up.  The new Borgeson power steering box offers a larger piston diameter for more available power assist; quicker ratio for easier parking and less turns lock-to-lock and modern variable valve that allows for stable highway driving and effortless parking and maneuvering.  The Borgeson box will bolt directly to the stock mounting location fit the original pitman arm and even work with your stock hoses and pump.  The Borgeson box includes an adapter to work with all Borgeson replacement steering shafts; a Borgeson steering shaft is recommended for installation of this steering box or a flat will need to be ground on the steering box adapter to use the stock shaft.

A must for 2nd gen Dodge owners
Robert Chapman (Omaha, NE) 7/17/2012 9:50 AM
What can I say? You all are aware of the problems with FWD 2nd Gen Dodge Ram front ends. I have been struggling with mine for years, but now I have it licked! This box IS A MUST if you want you're Ram to drive like it should. It is tight, good road feel, 0 play. IT IS AWESOME!!!Here is the formula for the rest of it. 1)Make sure all tie rods and ball joints are good or better yet new. 2) Replace stabilizer end links and stabilizer bar bushings. 3) Replace frame side track bar mount and track bar (XDP Item Number: BD103201) 4) Go rocksolidramtrucksteering.com and get the column bushing. 5) Get a Borgeson steering shaft (Item Number: BO000945) 6) Get a steering box stabilizer (Item Number: BD1032004) AND YOUR TRUCK WILL NEVER HAVE THE WOBS AND WILL DRIVE BETTER THAN FACTORY!!!!

Better Than New Steering
JL (Seattle, WA) 3/16/2012 1:16 PM
My 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4x2 with 140,000 miles had developed a bit of play in the steering gearbox causing mild wandering on the freeway. This was annoying at best, and when towing, actually fatiguing. To correct this I installed a Borgeson steering gearbox and shaft. I'm happy to report they're everything Borgeson claims they are. All play and wandering are now GONE and overall the steering is better than when the truck was new. The steering feel is smooth as silk with reduced effort compared to before the upgrade. It now takes fewer turns of the steering wheel to go from wheel lock-to-lock ,which is nice when maneuvering in tight parking lots. This is definitely a worthwhile upgrade once you've made sure any other worn steering components have been replaced or adjusted first. Be sure and follow the installation instructions to the letter, especially the part about accurately centering the gearbox before installing on the truck. Make sure it stays centered no matter where the front wheels point when you bolt everything together. After installation, a professional steering alignment is required.

Works great..

Been needing a new steering box for quite sometime, but dreading a parts store reman ( wash it, replace the seals and slap a price tag on it.. For some reason, a lot of people dont understand the difference between rebuilt, and reman ). Or a box from the dealer.. Swapped this into the truck, along with the matching steering shaft and a DSS steering brace ( requires a bit of grinding, but very do able ). This truck has never drove so nice, no wander, absolutely no play in the steering wheel.. Best money I've spent on the truck in a very long time..
