Predator contains four tunes to choose from:
Stock Tune: with adjustable speed limiters. Speed limiter to approximately 120 MPH varies based on vehicle set-up weight, tire size, 2wd vs. 4wd, etc.
40 HP and 100-ft/lb TQ - Tow Tune, made specifically for towing. DiabloSport recommended weight limitations based on manufacturer suggested limits for the vehicle.
65 HP and 155-ft/lb TQ - Economy Performance Tune, designed for Economy and Performance, fuel economy depends solely on driving style, and will vary from vehicle to vehicle. DiabloSport recommended weight limitations of 8,000 Lbs.
100 HP and 198-ft/lb TQ - Performance Tune, designed specifically for opening a can of whoop-ass (pardon the expression). DiabloSport recommends this tune not be used for towing.
The Predator for 2003-2004 6.0L Powerstroke (part no. U7160) is a state-of-the art high performance tuning flash programmer, which advances the timing, optimizes the air/fuel ratio and remaps the transmission shift points (in automatic transmissions). Unlike other 'tuners', DiabloSport's programming is performed in very small increments throughout the entire RPM range, for a smoother, wider and a more predictable power delivery.
- Currently the only flash tuner for 6.0L Ford Powerstroke
- The flash tuner that offers adjustable speed limiter with a flash, and no carry around boxes
- The flash tuner with advanced diagnostic capability. Predator will read and erase fault codes, monitor and log live data, re-sets fault codes automatically when factory tune is restored to the vehicle.
- The flash tuner with built-in high speed data logging and monitoring capability that the competition doesn't even have
- The flash tuner with a true graphical display that's 300% larger then the competition's puny text only display
- The flash tuner running on a custom high performance, multi-threading KROS operating system
The Predator was created with one thing in mind, POWER!
A Predator equipped vehicle will notice significant improvements in drivability. The additional power and improved shift patterns created by the Predator tune will yield quicker acceleration, firmer shifts, better mileage and improved towing characteristics, whether it is in town or out on the highway towing an 8,000 lbs trailer.
The power increase in the lower RPMs will yield a better throttle response; help maintain speeds on inclines and towing. The wider power band that the Predator creates will be particularly noticeable in city driving, where speeds constantly change. The mid-to-upper power increase is extremely useful on the highway when passing slower vehicles and to quickly maneuver out of emergency situations.
DiabloSport strongly recommends the use of larger diameter performance exhaust components and exhaust temperature gauges with the use of any performance diesel tuning.
The Predator features end user adjustable parameters so the end user can customize his/her tune depending on other modifications done to the vehicle.
The Predator allows the end user to adjust the following parameters:

I purchased the Predator after reading many reviews and decided it was the programmer for me. Loaded the Performance tune first and it was amazing. I've read several reviews where others state they noticed no improvements... they must have other issues with their truck. My 2005 F250 with everything stock but the tune runs like a performance car. Money well spent and I would recommend it to anyone! Great Product.

This tuner did everything that was adverised by XPD. I t improved my fuel economy by 3-4 mpgs, and turned my 6000# truck into a sports car, as well as inhancing towing abilities. All this utilizing only stage one of three programs. I do not understand how anyone has a negative feed back! Well except for the Dumb_ss that did not read the instruction booklet telling you that if you plan to tow use stage 1 or 2 only.

I just got this for my 04 dually and it really gets it. The shifts are hard and firm...feels like an Allison the way it shifts. I use it mostly in performance and in that mode it gets great millage about 20 MPG cruising at 85 even with the mile high altitude here and if I cruise at 65 it gets about 24-26. I can spin all four tires in performance and shred them in extreme! I also have a boost fooler added and it helps a lot. Only putting out a lil smoke with that add. My only problem I'm getting is in extreme it likes to buck as if its choking for fuel at times. more or less my truck. Prolly a bad icp sensor is causing that though I hope. But I recommend this to anybody who's looking at buying a tuner without spending a lot of money. I will say this I raced a mustand gt blew his doors off raced a wrx and got him by a nose. Its a good product

Wrote a review on this tuner some time back, shortly after I purchased the truck that came with the tuner. Had overheating problems. Discovered I had other issues with EGR cooler. Bought AFE intake and Banks cat-back exhaust and truck breaths! Have done some experiments and found the following...Only real mpg gain is on Extreme setting when crusing at about 65 mph on flat roads, but considerable about 19-20! Around town, no real gain on any but if you take it easy, Extreme seems to do better (ironically). Since I tow about 10K lbs trailer, I have to use the Tow Setting, which has a fairly mild increase power. Have a local grade which is considerable, with Tow Setting I can get up it at about 55, without 52 mph. Seemed to be a bigger difference before I put on the intake and exhaust. If you want to feel power, the Extreme setting is it. It'l blow some black smoke out the back, but it will also leave others in it. I typically cary about 600 lbs in a tool box located at the back of the 8' bed to soften the ride. This also helps keep the tires on the ground, 'cuz with the Extreme setting, they will spin. The turbo lag is also much less on the Extreme setting. So, around town and highways, Extreme. When towing, change to the lowest setting. Not sure why they even have a middle setting other than if you tow under 8K lbs.

I have an 2003 F-250 and this thing is a blast. It works great on tow mode and will put you sideways on the 100hp setting. I think its a great product. It helps with mileage as well.
