Description

The Dorman 904-810 Gear Driven Mechanical Vacuum Pump is a direct replacement for your 1994-2002 Dodge 5.9L Diesel. Dorman Vacuum Pumps are 100% new, not remanufactured. Since they are new, they do not contain any used components that could lead to premature failure. Most premature failures occur with the bearing. A bearing failure will prevent the pump from producing vacuum. Dorman has re-engineered the original needle bearing on the CAM which seizes, causing pump failure.

Features:
  • 100% New
  • No Core Return
  • Re-Engineered Bearings

Had the unit on my truck for 6 months less than 4000 miles as I don't drive the truck daily. Noticed When parked it it started leaking a good amount of oil. I thought it was the new gasket, but I was wrong and found the actual housing for the pump cracked.

So, the new pump WILL NOT match your old one. The oil feed line fitting is about 2" farther away from the block than before and you will either have to call and source another ($95 @ the dealer) or have one made ($45 @ Oriellys). Super disappointed that this wasn't noted. Also, the drive gear is maybe 2/3 the same depth as the stock one.
