The Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler helps prevent transmission fluid leaks and overheating, protecting the transmission from possible costly damage. Installed this on my 01 7.3L, keeps my automatic 4r100 transmission 40 degrees cooler! I'd like to suggest getting the fitting adapter set from John woods along with his custom machined valve body and a hydra flash tuner with power hungry tunes. This is an amazing combo on the 7.3 and great for towing a fifth wheel. Thanks!

This is a common upfrade for the 7.3l esp the 99-2003s. I installed it and my average trans temp empty is 130 degrees on warm days. its a bit of a fit but all you need are some 1/2in to 3/8in barbed adapters and your 4r100 or e4rod trans will thank you.great price, fast shipping and the cooler had great packaging to prevent damage.
