Sounded great for a year, now the turbo shaft/wheel has so much play you can hear it rattling on shut down. I don’t rag on the truck, and it’s meticulously maintained. $2000 down the drain

Turbo was quiet for 1000 miles after installation and then sounded like a normal turbo for 7k miles peeking at 28lb of boost, I bought the turbo February 17th 2022 and have drove 9k miles on the fleece 63mm turbo and I am peaking at 25lb of boost and have half of an inch of in and out play on the turbine wheel, either my turbo was an odd ball or these turbos are cheap

The Fleece LB7 Cheetah Turbocharger is a great drop-in replacement for the Duramax owner who’s looking to build more power out of their LB7. You’ll definitely see a nice HP and MPG difference running turbocharger, but gains will vary depending on the supporting modifications.
If I buy this turbo, do I need to tune my truck and get a bigger exhaust also?
No, the Fleece FPE-LB7-63 63mm Cheetah Turbocharger does not require any other modifications for installation but, to get the most out of this turbo, it would be a good idea to add a tuner, exhaust and an air intake system.
