The PhatShaft 64 is mid range replacement turbo for towing. The
PhatShaft comes with a 14cm exhaust housing. The benefit of the
14cm exhaust housing is lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures, however, it will
be slower to spool in daily driving situations. The original PhatShaft
64 features a 64mm compressor with extended tip technology. The wategate
is set at 45psi. All PhatShaft turbochargers are equipped with dual
grooved bearings and an adjustable boost elbow. The original PhatShaft
compliments moderate fueling upgrades and can support 350 - 600hp.
*03-07 "CRL" Large Flange model will work with 03-07 5.9L trucks and will retain cast elbow allowing use of factory downpipe.
*03-04
"CR" Turbo will require removal of cast elbow from back of turbo. This
will require an HX40 downpipe and exhaust modifications for complete
install.
*04.5-07 Models will require a wastegate fooler or performance module that has wastegate control capabilities.
