The PhatShaft
62 is the perfect replacement turbo for towing. The PhatShaft 62 can be purchased with a 12
or 14 turbine housing matched with a 65mm turbine. The benefit of the 14cm over the 12cm exhaust housing
is lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures but it will be slower to spool in daily driving situations.
The
wastegate is set at 40psi to prevent head gasket failure. The PhatShaft 62 compliments moderate fueling
upgrades and can support 300 - 550hp. The 62 is very close to being a drop in replacement however, an HX40 downpipe
is required for installation.
*Note: 14CM housing not recommended on 12-valve trucks under 500HP.
