This exhaust was very easy to install, took about 1.5-2 hrs. It sounds amazing compared to stock! Has a deep throaty sound which is exactly what I was looking for. What I like most is that it isn't too loud going down the highway but when you get on it it sounds like a beast! It definetely produces more power too. I was able to spin the tires on dry asphalt which I couldn't do with stock exhaust. My truck has no programmer either, just intake, exhaust and MT's. I'm still burning through a tank of fuel and hope to see better MPG's as well. Only thing is that the appearance isn't pretty(what can you expect for a $250 system) but with a tip it will look fine.

I just installed this kit over the weekend and figured I'd toss up a quick review. I searched for a while for any other reviews or info on this system before I ordered and didn't find anything. I figured since it was from Magnaflow it should fit well, and worst case XDP has a nice satisfaction guarantee.
The install went well. I did it in my buddy's shop with the front on jack stands for a little extra room under my 2wd truck. The total install time was ~3.5hrs, which included cutting the stock exhaust into a few pieces to get it out, and about an hour for some lunch. The down pipe fit perfect which I was worried about after helping a friend install an off-brand exhaust on his Powerstoke. The next pipe and the muffler went together fine as well.
The only issue I ran into was the pipe after the muffler. I presume it's just an issue with variation between years, but with the hangers mounted it was about 2" from reaching the back of the muffler. We pulled the pipe out, then heated and bent those 2 hangers so they were ~90º from the pipe instead of ~70º forward like they came. Once it cooled we reinstalled the part and it all went together fine. The tail pipe didn't require any modification in spite of the change to the pipe in front of it.
I've never installed anything like this on a diesel truck, nor has my friend who helped me. The instructions were short, but simple and accurate.
The sound from this system is a little louder than stock which was expected, but it's still very tame. The muffler is a straight through design like most others. The tone is deeper than stock and IMO sounds very good under load. I drive this truck every day and I didn't want to deal with a loud obnoxious exhaust system. This system met my needs perfectly, and it was a good bit cheaper than anything else I found. I can't speak to any mileage improvements yet (which I've heard from several people I should see), but I think it was a great investment regardless.
