The MBRP R&D team had the challenge of working around the diesel particulate filter and various other pieces of technology that have been put in place to meet the new diesel emissions standards. Their answer is to build a system that runs from the diesel particulate filter back.
Even with the larger engine and Cummins reputation for building "authoritative" sounding engines, we found that the cat, along with the new particulate filter, provided excellent noise suppression. The stock muffler, which is approximately 40% the size of it's predecessor, did little more than increase back pressure and EGT's. Removing the muffler and generally improving exhaust flow has resulted in better throttle response and overall performance.

Installation was a breeze. Only complaint is the fit of the tip. I could not get it tight on the pipe until I pinched the clamp together (not all the way) with vice grips. It just wasn't the quality fit I was expecting.

Added this on my 08' Dodge 6.7L. Definite HP increase with an actual 1mpg increase. Based on your driving style! Easy install, it took me about an hour. I only rated the system at 4 stars because the clamps that were sent didn't really clamp well. So I welded my system in; otherwise, I would have rated it 5 stars. Great craftsmanship, great performance boost, and very stylish look. You also get a free SS tip with this system! I would highly reccommend this system.

Good looks and well worth the money. I saw a 1-2 mpg increase in town and a 3 mpg increase on the highway under load. plus its easy to put on and looks alot better than my stock pipe
