Installed on my Duramax with 4” exhaust that was straight pipe prior. After installing “muffler” truck has a terrible in-cab drone at 1900RPM. Noise levels outside the truck are quieter but it’s miserable inside the cab. Prior to installation, there was no droning. Quiet tone muffler is a terribly misleading name for this product. The muffler is well made, looks good, and seems to be a quality product. I will say I am happy with XDP and have zero complaints or concerns regarding them. They get a 5/5, this muffler on the other hand is lucky to get a 2/5. Order # 1762150

The muffler is NOT quite as advertised, it is advertised if quite yet the moan / drone / loudness in the cab is much much more than the advertisement states.
Great muffler when pulling heavy. Get rid of the drone noise.

I went from 3.5 in straight exhaust to 4 in Turbo back with MBRP performance muffler to now using the Quiet Tone. The MBRP performance muffler was just too loud while pulling my 35 ft travel trailer. I am very satisfied with the Quiet Tone as I can still enjoy the turbo whistle and not worry about making too much noise when needing to punch it. Great sound reducing muffler.

Put it on a 15 Duramax and she purrs nicely and has zero cruising drone but nice sound when you get on it. Quiet and almost sleeper when cruising. Exactly what my middle aged father was looking for. Two thumbs up!

Drone level Hi, I just installed a MBRP 4'' S5259AL, and the drone level on highway is unbearable. Will this muffler reduce drone level? Or should I get a resonator instead?
