The South Bend G56-OFEK Dyna Max Upgrade Clutch Kit for your 2005.5-2015 Dodge 5.9L & 6.7L Cummins G56 will stand up to added horsepower and torque from aftermarket performance upgrades such as a performance programmer or module. When choosing a clutch it is very important to match the appropriate horse power and work load. For example: The MU 0090 Rally and MU 0090 Con O are capable of handling the horse power and torque ratings provided in our listings, but if the truck is used for heavy hauling when coupled with torque ratings exceeding 600 ft. lbs. damage to the clutch disc WILL occur. The cause and effect is the 12 1/4" disk does not provide enough dampened area to absorb the added torque of the Cummins along with heavy hauling. These two clutch kits are fine for light towing and performance. If you are going to be towing in excess of 8,000 lbs. while exceeding 600 ft. lbs. of torque you must go with the MU 13-1.25 Con O, OFE or FE. This will offer a clutch that will handle heavy towing with vehicles equipped with the higher torque ratings. This clutch only applies to trucks with 5 speed transmissions and early 6 speeds that are not equipped with the HO engine. If a 12 1/4" clutch is purchased from us, or one of our distributors, and gets destroyed at the dampened portion of the disc, warranty will not be granted.
Do not try and save money when it comes to choosing a clutch. This will only cost you more in the long run.

After a lot of research and recommendations i chose this clutch and set up for my 06' 5.9 installation was simple if you are mechanically inclined you shouldnt need to spend 500$ to have it done for you. As far as clutch performance goes it couldnt get any better as an every day driver its quiet and engages very smoothly. Thanks Matt for the technical assistance, best possible price and service. I could not be more satisfied with my perchase.

With only 19000 miles on my '07 5.9 the stock dual mass flywheel/clutch was slipping (with the smarty jr). After alot of research and recommendations I selected this clutch. Installation was a breeze, my son and I did it ourselves without a lift using an ATV/motorcycle lift to support tranny. So far the G56-OFE has done everything I have hoped. Holds the power real well but to be honest it is a little more grabby than stock but it is what it is.
