Bought this after finding out the previously purchased unit from Valair would not fit. Not their fault, my truck was just one of the odd balls that doesn't accept that style. Bolted right in with no issues other than tight spaces and weird angles. This is lighter/easier to press than the OEM setup and clutch, and this is paired with a street triple clutch. Also the instructions that come with this are good, and they have some funnier bits in them.

This upgraded hydraulics for my 2nd gen is a game changer. The adjustable part really helped set for me and it changed the way the truck drove for the better. I didn’t think it would change that much but it did!

I purchased this unit because I was told my clutch wasn’t disengaging from the local transmission rebuilder that they rebuilt 5 months ago. still shifts like garbage grinding etc. after talking with the very helpful folks at SBC I didn’t necessarily need to buy this hydraulic kit because the oem hydraulic kit should have no problem disengaging an oem clutch. So back to the transmission shop it goes. As for the kit it does in fact DISENGAGE the clutch! I think it is a well made product and easy to install.

It’s well worth the time to upgrade. Don’t be in a hurry while installing this kit. Lots of wires around the work area especially if you have gauges and fuel systems etc. Have lots of patience. Take pictures of stock routing of hose just for reference. It helps to take the guesswork out of the installation. Yes the clip and plastic bushings require undivided attention. The red lock clip on the safety switch wire can be difficult to unlatch. The mounting hardware can be easily removed and installed with an intermediate length swivel socket with wobble extension. Be sure to have a couple zip ties on hand to secure hydraulic hose away from moving parts. Overall installation went smoothly and the results are very good. Much better control and feedback from the clutch pedal. Instructions are easy to understand and pretty well spot on. The adjustment in the instructions is a very good starting point. I ended up at 2 1/2 turns because of carpet and thick floor mat.

I found it very easy to install bypassing the bleeding process all in one unit. The hardest part was the upper mounting nut and that spring clip. PITA$$. However it mounted right up and helped my fading pedal. Thanks so much for a quality product. Outdoor2
