This converter was designed for the 24 valve ISB engine. The 44 series converter stalls approx 1800 RPM. This converter will have nominal effects on 24 valve spool up and pull hard during fluid coupling mode. This converter incorporates a steel CNC machined billet cover and piston, hardened steel turbine hub with reinforced mounting, Torrington bearings at front and rear of stator, furnace brazed impeller, billet CNC machined radial pull stator, with triple clutch discs.

Sun Coast torque converters include the latest in converter technology and are suitable for highly modified diesel engines. If your truck is used for towing (5th wheel travel trailer, horse or livestock trailer, boat or equipment trailer) the Sun Coast converter will vastly improve the performance and reliability of your truck.
