These Timbrens take place of the factory installed bump stops. I take mine off when I am not towing heavy loads with my 07 classic LBZ 2500HD. They are a breeze to put on and take off. When towing heavy loads you notice a massive improvement with stability as for these Timbrens are setting directly on the top of the axle...only downfall is it makes the smallest bumps feel huge...which is why I take them off when not towing. Overall I would strongly recommend this system to anyone who tows and doesn't want their headlights shining into ppl's eyes! Really helps with the load leveling of the truck too. Great product!
