Response to Russell A (Georgia)
Transfer Flow, Inc. (Chico, CA) 3/30/2012 1:09 PM
What Russell A experience is caused by bacteria in contaminated fuel and can happen in any diesel fuel tank including plastic tanks. The issue is not isolated to Transfer Flow aluminized steel tanks. We sell thousands of our tanks every year without issue, and many have been on the road for more than 15 years. The issue Russell A experienced is unfortunate, but can happen to anyone and is the reason we warn our customers to purchase fuel only from trusted providers and to use Kill'emz diesel additive when in doubt. Russel A was offered a replacement tank at cost, but was unwilling to accept. Please call with any questions. A.J. Kuck, Transfer Flow, Inc. 530-893-5209 ext. 20 akuck@transferflow.com

Product is bad, manufacturer is also. Got bad fuel on a trip. When tank was dropped, fuel emptied, and tank cleaned out, corrosion was found all inside tank causing rust spots. When pictures were e-mailed at request of manufacturer, they started giving me this "high tech" run around on how their tank is built and that they were not liable for my problem even though it was still under warranty.Transfer Flow advertizes that their tanks are aluminum clad steel. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that aluminum may tarnish, but won't rust.So why all the rust spots inside of tank.Buy at your own risk because manufacturer does not stand behind their product.
