True Flow is pleased to introduce the XDI Air Intake for late model direct bolt-on applications with ultra high flow, aggressive sound and extreme looks. The True Flow XDI is constructed from powder-coated mandrel bent tube and nylon reinforced silicone couplers. The True Flow XDI is able to improve horsepower and torque in applications requiring greater airflow than the factory intake is capable of. This combination not only improves performance but also increases fuel efficiency and has a great intake tone.
A critical part of the XDI intake system is its True Flow air filter. Unique to the industry, foam air filters have awesome performance capabilities and filtration properties, filtering even the smallest debris. These incredibly durable air filters are easily cleaned and offer a limited lifetime warranty with excellent performance.

This has to be one of the worst air filters I have ever installed. No crafstmanship in the manufacture. Nothing seems to fit that well. Called the dealer cause kept having problems w/MAF. They were very unhelpful.

One has to wonder why the only two positive reviews, which tend to be 100% different than the first three, are from anonymous people... If they're so doggone happy with it, then why not say their names??? I read enough. I'm definitely not going THIS route...

05 F-250 Diesel - Get Brute Force

I bought the True Flow intake and was disappointed with it for a few reasons. First, it didn't look like what was pictured (This site recently updated the pic.) It is as if I just got a VERY expensive air filter instead of the whole pipe going to the turbo. Next, after tightening the filter element on the can, I noticed that the can itself was bent, or oblong instead of being round. When I went to tighten the screws, the two on the top went in easily and the two on the bottom only go in 3/4 of the way due to alignment problems due to the canister not being round or because the tap was too shallow. The next issue I had was another shallow tap problem. There is a short silver metal piece that fits your mass airflow sensor. I had to put on the mounting plate myself and those screws only go in half way. I had to use NUTS as washers to get it tight. Performance gains? I haven't noticed any. I also didn't get the torque wrench that was said to be in my box per the packing list on the instruction sheet.
Overall, the product I received seemed like it was thrown together in a matter of minutes and was NOT worth what I paid for it by any means. If I wanted just an air filter element, I would have bought a K&N for $50. Very, very unsatisfied.

It will make your truck drink the diesel. I was getting 19 mpg now I'am getting 15 to 16 mpg. I'am going back stock with a workhorse module and amsoil. I don't known if its the low 15 pprm or what. But the new fuel is useless it is getting worst fuel mileage. They need to go back to the old fuel. How can they say we are runnig out when you have to use more?

"Installation was what was expected the average person should have no problem. intake is tough built and does have a nice look. Ok now for the bad. first and worst is the vibration in the gas petal when my new f250 gets above 2000 rpm. Have removed the intake and returned the factory and the vib goes away. next is that the intake has no way of getting any cool air at all only draws air from within the hood which defeats the purpose of a c.i.d. I guess next is the noise. I do love the turbo whistle but hate the constant very loud droaning sound that goes along with the vibration. this is not a nice engine growl it's a constant hollow racket. should have went with Volant had 2 previous very good experiences with them on my dodge diesels."
