Valair Flywheel V2130

The Valair flywheel and clutch arrived undamaged and with nearly all the parts to install. When I opened the flywheel box I know that there was going to be a small problem. I had previously install and input shaft repair sleeve and pilot bearing. I ordered a new one with the plan on replacing the old repair sleeve and pilot bushing but the Valair flywheel comes with an oversized and much better pilot bushing. This unfortunately meant that the replacement repair bushing (sized to OEM OD) I now had a small issue to resolve. After a couple days of searching for a bushing that would fit the oversized (overboard) and the larger sleeve I discovered that no one made a 44mm ODx 20mm ID bearing. So instead I looked for a sleeve or bushing to use the replacement repair bearing that was sized to the original OEM flywheel pilot bearing. I found this a Metric Press-Fit Drill Bushing 35 mm ID, 40 mm OD, 20 mm Long, Chamfered on One End. This bushing worked perfectly to install in the oversized (44mm) Valair flywheel Pilot bearing hole. It pressed in like the replacement pilot bearing and then the replacement (35mm that is the same OD as the OEM Ford flywheel pilot bearing) bearing in applied some red thread locker to make sure everything stays together. Long review short, if you purchase this flywheel and have repaired your input shaft with a sleeve kit this part will allow you to install this flywheel and install the repair oversized pilot bearing.
