In the summer of 2018, Team XDP launched “Xtreme Diesel” 2.0. Staying true to the legendary Dodge/RAM combination, this 2017 Ram 2500 is powered by a common rail 6.7L diesel that produces 1800HP+ on fuel only.

Taking it next level

Innovation is everything! Team XDP was behind the wheel of the first diesel Monster Truck utilizing a modern racing chassis. While we could have used the same type of mechanically injected engine we’ve used in the past, we wanted version 2.0 to be more powerful, faster, and cleaner. Using some of the same R&D that put the XDP Drag Truck into the 8’s, we knew a modern engine will take Team XDP to the next level.

The Engine

With a huge focus on creating a cleaner running diesel, we went back to the drawing board on “Xtreme Diesel" 2.0. After spending over a year in the R&D phase, the advanced tuning capabilities and electronics of the common rail engine gave us the ultimate in adjustability, so we can control almost all parameters of modern powerplant.

Drivetrain & Suspension

It takes a serious drivetrain & suspension to put 1800HP+ horsepower to the ground. Add in the amount of time “Xtreme Diesel” 2.0 spends flying through the air, and it’s easy to see why such a robust drivetrain is needed.
