The Alliant Fuel Transfer Pump Kit AP4943048 for your 1998.5-2002 Dodge 5.9L Diesel is a direct replacement for your failed factory transfer pump. This pump features a flow rating of 50GPH @ 10 PSI with 12x1.5 straight metric ports.

Do I have to replace the in tank pump when installing a new lift pump in a 2001 Dodge 5.9?

The Alliant Fuel Transfer Pump Kit AP4943048 will work as an OEM replacement on all 98.5-02 Dodge 5.9L’s. If you truck is equipped with the in-tank lift pump, this retrofit kit must be reversed to properly install this pump kit.
