According to the information I have this is a 3 micron filter cartridge, not 5 micron as mentioned in the 1st review. This is a finer filtering level than the Mopar supplied fuel filter, which doesn't even meet Cummuns'fuel filtering specs. I think this is the finest filtering cartridge you can put in the stock fuel filter housing.

I bought as a low-cost alternative to external filtration at 3 micron. Best I could find up the AFE was 5 micron. Yes, the external filters provide dpwn to 2 micron which is fantastic, however, tge cost vs. 1 micron was the deciding factor. I have an AFE cold air intake I bought in 2007 and just this year replaced the filter, so, I have every confidence in AFE products and use their oil filter as well.
XDP was easy purchase and fast ship. Will buy again from XDP without hesitation.
