You can adjust the wastage in and out achieve more/less boost.
The waste gate can be adjusted with the turbo on the engine; air pressure would have to be applied to remove the waste gate rod from the arm. Then the required boost pressure should then be applied to the hose connection on the waste gate canister, and the rod end can then be screwed in until it falls onto the waste gate arm that is held in the closed position. Replace the retaining clip and drive the truck to confirm the adjustment is correct.
