Description

The PureFlow AirDog A4SPBC088 150GPH Air/Fuel Separation System for your 2001-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax provides the most effective technology designed specifically for diesel pickups to remove water, particulates, vapor and entrained air from diesel fuel. The AirDog is lift pump and filter system, that enhances the fuel delivery to your engine with a commercial duty system.

Your High Performance diesel engine demands higher fuel flows. Yet higher fuel flows increase the vacuum at the fuel pump and agitation in the fuel tank. These factors generate additional air/vapor in the fuel system preventing your engine form producing maximum power and efficiency. Additionally, air/vapor can cause galling and pitting of the injector barrel/plunger assembly and also tip erosion. The AirDog eliminates air in the fuel that robs your engine of consistently greater performance and can also cause permanent damage to your injectors. The AirDog also provides the fuel pressures and flows your diesel engine needs to produce maximum power, any time, every time!

The Airdog works by pulling fuel from the fuel tank containing entrained air/vapor, particulate contaminates and unknown quantities of moisture. The fuel passes through the water separator which removes the water and large particulate contaminates. Then, the fuel with only entrained air/vapor and tiny particulate contaminates remaining, enters the fuel pump. Under positive pressure flow, the fuel passes through the fuel filter and the remaining particulate contaminates are caught and contained, the entrained air/vapor is also separated and returned to the tank. The clean fuel is now free of contaminants and water and flows at the proper pressures up to your engine. Each kit includes plumbing, hardware, wiring harness, mounting bracket and all components needed for installation.

This system is a no brainer. The install process is not the easiest so make sure you have help. Overall the product made my truck run better then it ever has
Worth every penny

If this is the your first time installing one of these. Make sure you look you do the research for install or have someone help you, who knows what they are doing. The instructions (for me) were not the best and the pictures were so close up. That it's hard to get your bearings on where the picture was taken. Other then that I would not hesitate on buying this product. It's worth every penny.

Questions and Answers

When do I need to change my filters?
View Staff Answer
Answer

The life expectancy for the AirDog Filter could be up to 25K miles or a year. However, those figures can change drastically depending on fuel quality.

Is you factory fuel filter nessecary if you install the AirDog?
View Staff Answer
Answer

We generally recommend installing the XD163 to remove the factory fuel filter. The XD163 was specially designed as a bolt-on replacement, the XDP Fuel Filter Delete simply installs in place of your factory fuel filter when using aftermarket fuel systems such as an Airdog, FASS, or custom applications where your factory fuel filter is no longer needed. Do i need the stock filter delete if I use this system?
View Staff Answer
Answer
It's personal preference. The factory filter isn't required after the installation of an AirDog filtration system. However, there are plenty that still run the stock filter on their truck.
Does the AirdogFP-150 have a fuel pressure sensor for a fuel pressure gauge
View Staff Answer
Answer
The AirDog A4SPBC088 150GPH Air/Fuel Separation System do not come with a fuel sensor but they do have a port on the side of the fuel block where you can read fuel pressure from.
