The PureFlow AirDog A4SPBD002 100GPH Air/Fuel Separation System for your 2005-2018 Dodge 5.9L/6.7L Cummins provides the most effective technology designed specifically for diesel pickups to remove water, particulates, vapor and entrained air from diesel fuel. The AirDog is lift pump and filter system, that enhances the fuel delivery to your engine with a commercial duty system.
Your high performance diesel engine demands higher fuel flows. Yet higher fuel flows increase the vacuum at the fuel pump and agitation in the fuel tank. These factors generate additional air/vapor in the fuel system preventing your engine form producing maximum power and efficiency. Additionally, air/vapor can cause galling and pitting of the injector barrel/plunger assembly and also tip erosion. The AirDog eliminates air in the fuel that robs your engine of consistently greater performance and can also cause permanent damage to your injectors. The AirDog also provides the fuel pressures and flows your diesel engine needs to produce maximum power, any time, every time!
The Airdog works by pulling fuel from the fuel tank containing entrained air/vapor, particulate contaminates and unknown quantities of moisture. The fuel passes through the water separator which removes the water and large particulate contaminates. Then, the fuel with only entrained air/vapor and tiny particulate contaminates remaining, enters the fuel pump. Under positive pressure flow, the fuel passes through the fuel filter and the remaining particulate contaminates are caught and contained, the entrained air/vapor is also separated and returned to the tank. The clean fuel is now free of contaminants and water and flows at the proper pressures up to your engine. Each kit includes plumbing, hardware, wiring harness, mounting bracket and all components needed for installation.

The pump works fine now that its in and I rewired the wiring harness and fabricated a draw straw for the fuel tank. The instruction showed that the suction tube would work fine with the factory draw straw but it didn't allow nearly enough fuel to the pump. Also, the wiring harness had connectors in the wrong places so I had to do a lot of cutting and splicing. After all this it seems to work alright.

I have a 2000 1 ton w/ auto - strickly a farm / work truck. My concern was burning up an injector pump as Dodge still don't get it that their lift pump is crap. Also about the gain in fuel milage promised yet has to happen. I followed the instructions that came with pump as my truck had a in tank lift pump. My truck kept running out of fuel just below 1/2 tank and the two times it did it I was towing my backhoe. So in anticipation of needing it I dropped the tank and installed the Fass stainless steel draw tube, removed the lift pump and cut the suction and return lines (OEM). Now the truck runs fine, no milage increase though. I guess in a real world enviroment you should get better milage as your fuel should be free of air. Like I said I don't drive enough to see a change in the milage but I do have more power and peace of mind that my pump will not burn up. I also installed the pressure warning light as it's cheap insurance. The only problem I have now is the tank gasket that goes between the OEM lift pump housing is leaking and that's my fault.
