  • For Late Model Trucks
  • Includes Mounting Gasket
  • Built & Tested To OEM Specifications

Model Year Information:
  • 2003 Models: If you have a 2003 you are in the 2003-2004.25 production date.
  • 2004 Models: If you have a 2004 model you must check your VIN code to determine your production date.
  • 2005 Models: If you have a 2005 or newer, you have a 2004.25 and newer production date.

A sample VIN code is: 1FTRW21P24EB10150. In the middle of the VIN code, you see the digits "4EB". The 4 means that it was a 2004 model year. The "E" denotes which production plant built your truck. In this case, E is for Kentucky. Lastly, the "B" is the start of the sequence number (the last 6 digits of the VIN). Some early 2004 models have a "4EA" code. The "A" denotes the early build and most likely is a 2003-2004.25 production date. For example letter "B", "C", "D" or more all denote later model 2004 builds with 2004.25 and newer production dates. For additional assistance with your build date, you can also contact your local dealer with your VIN number, or if the water pump is already off the truck you can measure the impeller.

Good, but might not be perfect.

Overall, this is a well made piece. My only concern is that I tow a 10,000 lb trailer in steep terrain. I recently had a head gasket go, so I upgraded to the ProMax heads, ARP studs, etc. In short, with all of that came a new radiator and an new Turbo also, so things are in pretty good shape with my engine. The engine previous to the head gasket issue on a 100+ degree day never heated up on even the longest and steepest days pulling in 102 degrees. Now, I'm experiencing a slight creep in temps on the longest pulls when the temps are in the high 90's. This was never an issue previously, so I'm wondering if going back to the original impeller design might provide a small bit more efficiency. This is the only reason I can come up with for the new temperature creep issue on these steep pulls. I can't guarantee this a water pump impeller design issue, but if you are pulling heavy loads on hot days in steep terrain, you may want to consider going with a pump that has the stock impeller design. Other than that exact scenario described above, steep pulls towing a heavy trailer on near 100 degree days, there is absolutely no reason not to save some money and put in this water pump.

The water pump that I purchased seemed to be of excellent quality and it has a metal impeller which was one of the reasons that i purchased it. It was packaged well, it arrived fairly quickly and it fit just like it was supposed to. The instructions (not that I needed them) were very clear and after about 200 miles, with 150 pulling a 33 foot camper, it has worked flawlessly, especially in the mid day Florida heat. Thanks for selling great products.
100% better than oem..!! My deltas are 3 degrees cooler
