I'd like to split my rating...the girdle itself looks great, sitting *beside* my transmission due to a bolt head that snapped off with less than 10ftlb of pressure. FWIW the first picture shows stainless/zinc hardware, I recieved black bolts. What I hoped would be a 10min install is now easily going to be an hour or more thanks to having to drill/helicoil one of these.

this transmission girdle fit great on my 68rfe no way to tell if it will add strength but hey it doesn't hurt to try and beef up your transmission in any way you can add a little bit of blue loctite to bolts whan installing and you'll be good to go!
