Do you have to install any probes or does it just use the obd port?

This all depends on the application - The Banks Power 61204 4.3" iDash Digital Gauge does require the installation of the THERMOCOUPLE KIT to read EGT’s on a majority of the applications. That being said, most newer 08+ applications can read EGT’s directly from the OBD 2 port.
