Removing your factory Grid Heater on the 5.9L Cummins will not trigger a check engine light unless the temperatures are too cold during start-up. This product is intended for use in warm climates. Engine start-up can be difficult in cold climates. (Wires Info: Follow the factory intake heater power cable(s) back to the intake heater relay(s) located on the side of the passenger side battery. Disconnect intake heater power cable(s) from intake heater relay(s). Remove the wires connecting the electric heater element block to the engine.
