Banks' revolutionary design produces stronger braking power than other exhaust brakes. The large-bore housing, streamlined to increase airflow and diffuse exhaust, adds to engine power when Banks Brake is inactive. Banks engineered in a timed valve closure rate to prevent back-pressure spikes common to other exhaust brakes and provide smooth operation. Every unit is factory tested and never requires calibration.

Cast, large-bore brake housing; High-force, 4" vacuum actuator; Computerized Brake Controller (CBC); Large butterfly valve with super-alloy shaft-and-bearing system; Stainless, 3.5" Monster T.O.P. turbine-outlet pipe (or optional 3" to connect to stock exhaust) with ceramic-matrix heat shield; In-dash switch; Wire loom; Mounting hardware.

5-Year Ltd. Warranty Brake assembly*

2-Year Ltd. Warranty Electrical components, pneumatic components, solenoid valve and auxilliary air supplies (where applicable)

*Ltd. warranty does not cover service conditions (i.e. soot buildup in shaft bushings due to out-of-tune engine, or excess heat-damage due to overly-rich fueling conditions)

Banks Brake and Banks Power Elbow cannot be used on the same vehicle

Well I'am here to tell you this was the best money I ever spent on my truck. I was towing a 15K pound 5th wheel and could coast down a grade and feel the brake working without touching the brake pedal. It gave me the peace of mind knowing that my speed was being controlled and I was not heating up my brakes at all. That also meant should something unforeseen happen I could still count on my brakes to bring me to a complete stop if necessary. I have had this Banks Brake installed in my 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty for over 12 years and it still works great. For those who may not know where I live, I am at 7,000 foot elevation and driving on mountain roads I have saved hundreds of dollars on brake jobs over time, which only brought my cost of having a Banks Brake down. I could not have ask for a better product and would definitely recommend it anyone who tows heavy loads or drives mountains roads. I do not, nor have I ever worked for or had any investment in Banks Engineering. I am a retired Firefighter and Just truly believe in this product. I can't say it is the best, as I have never had the need to try any other brand. But this one works well for me.
