Eliminate leaks before they happen on your 1989-2002 Dodge 5.9L Diesel with the BD-Power 1040022 Killer Frost Plug Plate. From the factory, the rear freeze plug, also known as a casting plug, freeze plug, expansion plug, or frost plug, is known to leak, or blow out causing a massive loss in coolant. The BD-Power Killer Front Plug Plate installs easily and does not require removal of the off the old frost plug. In fact, it works with the frost plug in place, blown out, or leaking due to the robust O-ring seal.

Plate is very industrial and strong, and the o-ring is very very robust and thick also. Installation was pretty difficult if you leave the transmission in. It is doable, but you will need a very long extension and a joint/wable socket to do the driver's side bolt. Overall happy with the product and how robust it is.
