I will try to keep short. These injectors have been an issue since day one of install. I had a well know / reputable shop install these injectors for me. (just an FYI) I had purchase these injectors as the full set. Opened the box and injectors looked good for what they claimed as "re-manufactured." Once installed the shop did it checks and rechecks and drive test and with the shop all was well. Sent back my original injector out of my truck for a core return and right off they did not send my full core back. Wondering why I did not get a full core return, called XDP and they said I have to call the manufacture for explanation, wow not happy but okay. Talked with BD Power about loss of partial core on one injector they said one of the injector solenoids was broken on the injector. I commented back that I know that it was not broken on the return because I packaged them all back up, but either way you (BD Power) and not looking for excuses but you are replacing the solenoids anyway. They said "NO" they do not replace the solenoids if they test OK on their scanner!? Wow really, you do not replace the electronics of an injector!! Less then one week later, only days later I started to get excessive smoke from my truck. So not taking a chance on something worse happening I had taken the truck back to the shop to have checked out. As this shop is a busy shop it took about a week for them to get the truck back into the shop. Come to find out I had two injectors fail, one was a 100% failure Solenoid, and the other just about 90% still fueling a little. So as I attempt to warranty with XDP, they kindly said I had to take this up with the manufacturer directly. So next I talked with BD Power again to get my two injectors warrantied. They told me to send them back the injectors they will test them and then decide if they will warranty them, not wanting to wait for the turn around time I just asked if I could just purchase two more of the same injectors and once the bad injectors are out I will send them back to get all of my money back (cost and core). So they sent me out two injectors so that I could get the ball rolling, well to my surprise they sent me out the wrong injectors. Oh boy!? Well they sent me out a call tag and the correct injectors immediately realizing their error. After this was all said and done and A LOT of emails and phone calls later, this mess finally found a ending, whew. Now its about one year later and I am starting to get some injector noise again, great!! Taken it back to the shop again they did a quick balance check and things look okay, but with the noise that they are hearing also they think I may have another injector or more going away again. Oh and another thing this "warranty" ONLY covers the cost of the parts (injector) not labor. With all this said I will say that Carl at BD Power did (I believe) what he could do to get things to work out. I and the shop that put these injectors in just do not believe injectors are worth it, just purchase new if you are going to stay with stock injectors.
