Description
The Beans Diesel 280002 Multi-Function Fuel Tank Sump takes the original and revolutionary design to a whole new level. Constructed from 6061 billet aluminum, this sump is super strong and still easy to install! All that's needed is a single 3" hole and a single bolt, which are both included in the kit. This keeps install time quick while minimizing potential leaks.
The single O-ring design of the sump as well as the O-ring boss style fittings provides a perfect seal and less possibilities for leaks. These fittings can be used with the popular quick disconnect fittings found on many aftermarket fuel systems or 1/2" push-lock style fuel hose.This makes it just about plug and play for the majority of aftermarket fuel systems in the industry. Being a multi-function design, the 280002 can be used as for with 1/2" Push-Lock fuel supply with a return, a single outlet (plug included), or as a double feed to supply extra fuel for those higher horsepower trucks.

The picture does not do this Sump Justice. This thing is a tank.

My go-to sump; best one I have found to date. Have installed several with no issues - a little heat from a heat gun helps with hose install over the supplied barbs. Drill the pilot hole first before putting the 3" hole saw on - one time it caught and the hole saw scuffed the tank where the o-ring sits, still didn't leak though. Be cognitive of fuel sending unit location in the fuel tank and try to miss it when choosing sump location so that the sump through bolt doesn't hit it. It would be nice if Beans put some serrations / knurling on the contact surface of the Pacman in tank backer ring to keep it from spinning inside the tank when tightening the through bolt but other than that its a great sump. With this last purchase I thought I was experiencing a transmission shift flare / slippage with my LBZ but apparently it was a fuel starvation issue. I kept a fresh Donaldson P553203 on the factory fuel filter head conversion but it may have been too restrictive. Even though it never threw a low fuel rail pressure code, I could see the difference in fuel rail pressure desired vs actual at WOT through an Edge Insight. That pressure differential went away after install. This sump paired with a Fass really woke up my LBZ. It definitely pulls harder. Now I can really give it the BEANS!
