{"id":129,"date":"2012-07-02T16:52:50","date_gmt":"2012-07-02T20:52:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.xdp.com\/?p=129"},"modified":"2018-10-18T16:46:17","modified_gmt":"2018-10-18T16:46:17","slug":"indy-diesel-shootout","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.xtremediesel.com\/blog\/2012\/07\/02\/indy-diesel-shootout\/","title":{"rendered":"Indy Diesel Shootout"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the weekend XDP headed out to the Midwest for the NHDRA Indiana Diesel Shootout in Indianapolis.\u00a0 The weekend consisted of many adrenaline pumping events ranging from drag racing to sled pulling and even a burnout contest.\u00a0 Many big time competitors headed out to Indy to race and attend the show in hopes of winning a chunk of the $30,000 in prize money.\u00a0 Besides a little bit of humidity, the weather was perfect and made for an awesome turnout.\u00a0 The speedway was packed with diesel blooded fans and racers all eager to get the show underway.\u00a0 All of the top vendors including XDP were in Indy showing off some of the newest products they had to offer and talking <em>trucks<\/em> with the crowd.<\/p>\n<p>The show started out Saturday with trucks tearing down the track, billowing out clouds of thick black smoke.\u00a0 Numerous companies such as H&amp;S, MBRP and many others brought out their race trucks to run the track at the Lucas Oil Speedway in an effort to win in their class.\u00a0 Many high horse power trucks were battling for the top spot in each class with few even breaking national records!<\/p>\n<p>The sled pulling competition was held on Sunday and got competitive very quick.\u00a0 Many trucks were pushed past their mechanical limits just trying to get to the top spot on the charts. Some trucks left with broken drive shafts, blown turbos and blown head gaskets.\u00a0 This was an all or nothing event.\u00a0 Our own Billy Deblasio, driving the XDP Dodge got an impressive 289 while running with 3 leaky injector lines that were not repairable in time for the run.<\/p>\n<p>Overall the NHDRA event was great success and XDP had a blast. \u00a0The diesel fans in Indy were a great group of people that had a real passion for the sport.\u00a0 XDP would like to thank everyone that attended the show and stopped by the tent to show your passion and support.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re looking to check out the next show we will be at, you will want to attend the Diesel Truckin\u2019 Nationals in Englishtown, NJ on Saturday September 15th 2012.\u00a0 We will be in our home territory with some of the fastest and nicest trucks on the east coast. Also be sure to stay the extra night and attend our annual open house event in Wall, NJ.\u00a0 Every year it continues to get bigger and better.\u00a0 The open house includes show and shine, dyno competition, a live band and to top it off free food!
