The Borgeson 800123 "New" 6-Bolt Dodge Box for your 2003-2008 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 is an upgrade over your factory unit. Borgeson has sourced and adapted this brand new massive power steering box for the 2003-2008 Dodge trucks. Similar to Chrysler's offering for the 03-08 Dodger trucks this Borgeson Dodge Box offers the largest piston diameter for the most available power assist and a modern variable valve that allows for stable highway driving and effortless parking and maneuvering. Borgeson has adapted the pitman shaft to be compatible with all OEM and dropped pitman arms that fit the stock box.

It looks great, it’s definitely beefy compared to stock but I have about a inch play in the steering still. At low speeds you feel it a lot! I did there steering staff also but the play is in the gear itself. Better then the redhead I tried before but still not as tight as I feel it should be.

Bought a $600 "Heavy Duty" steering box to tighten up my steering and it got loose in less than 2 years. Not worth the money.

I replaced pretty much everything on the front of my truck and still have slop in the steering wheel, I put this unit in with the borg steering shaft , you can turn the wheel and see the steering shaft turning a good amount going into the box before you get any output steering. Needless to say, I am not 100% happy with it however it is better then the wore out one I pulled, I also suggest a bigger steering pump as with the standard pump it does have a heavier steering feel vs factory.
really wish I could get this slop out , so frustrating
