The Borgeson 800123 "New" 6-Bolt Dodge Box for your 2003-2008 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 is an upgrade over your factory unit. Borgeson has sourced and adapted this brand new massive power steering box for the 2003-2008 Dodge trucks. Similar to Chrysler's offering for the 03-08 Dodger trucks this Borgeson Dodge Box offers the largest piston diameter for the most available power assist and a modern variable valve that allows for stable highway driving and effortless parking and maneuvering. Borgeson has adapted the pitman shaft to be compatible with all OEM and dropped pitman arms that fit the stock box.

I purchased this steering gear to replace my 250k mile oem 4 bolt box. It bolted up well, and only needed to *slighty* bend one of the high pressure hoses to be sure there would be no contact. I'd say overall this is an improvement, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it was night/day difference. I'd only spend the time/money on it if you knew for sure your box had wear or leakage issues and was due to be replaced. But not before that. By the way if you do it, try to upgrade the pump to a 2012 for a little pressure boost. Paired together is a solid oem steering solution.

Easy order product arrived on time wish i knew it was coming from further away would have expedited the shipping but it arrived when they said it was a borgeson steering box and i was happy with product and experience overall only reason for 4 stars is the packaging having a 700$ steering box in a box with not much protection the splined shaft came through the box luckily it was not damaged so just needs better packaging cant review the box itself as its not yet installed 2179689

This box is massive. There is no comparison when comparing this 6 bolt box, and the factory 4 bolt box that comes on the 3rd gen rams. This is the steering box that should have came installed on these trucks from factory.
