Slight modification is needed

I purchased this for my 2008 Ram 3500. The fit was a bit too tight, so I recommend putting down a few layers of blue painter’s tape on your dash to avoid scratching it. I did have to sand a few areas of the pod to get it to fit properly. The included 3M tape doesn’t stick very well, even on a thoroughly cleaned surface. Still, I would buy this again since it’s really the only decent option out there. Just know it’s not truly plug-and-play — you’ll need to do some minor modifications. Lastly, the screw provided in the kit was too short, so I didn’t use it. It is what it is.

Its a different texture than the pillar the double sided sticky tape does stuck worth a damn and the screw that came with the kit is half an inch short other than that after I got a new screw and did my own glue it does look better than sticking it too the windshield and I don't have to worry abiut the heat making it fall off

Do you lose the grab handle with this or can you keep it
