These rod ends are rock solid - they've held up to a dozen boosted launches at 650HP on my truck, and plenty at 1000HP on a friend's triple truck. I'm confident in their strength, but not necessarily their longevity. The boots for the inner rod ends are held in place by small spring steel rings that are supposed to lie in grooves on the joint bodies, but the grooves aren't cut wide enough. The rubber boots underneath don't allow the rings to sit properly in the grooves, and the boots pull off the joint bodies within a few hundred miles of driving. This exposes the joint to the elements, washing out the grease. Zip ties, safety wire, and steel straps haven't been any better. I don't think they'll seize, given the constant movement, but I'm anticipating a squeak as the joints inevitably start to corrode. Not a dealbreaker, as they certainly fix the weak factory front end, but as the most expensive option on the market from one of the top suspension companies around, I expect a more refined part.

I’ve installed these on another duramax I had as well. You can’t even compare these to stock inner and outter tie rods but compared to its competitors I prefer them because the actual inner tie rod is larger and not just sleeved. You won’t be disappointed

Cognito Motorsports, Inc. warrants, to the original retail purchaser, that its suspension products are free from defects in workmanship and material for as long as the purchaser owns the vehicle on which the product was originally installed.
Are the inners available by themselves? I have a set of these on my truck and the outers are fine, but my inners are now shot.

We do not have them listed on our website, but do offer both the inner and outer separately. Call one of our Diesel Experts at 1-888-343-7354 and ask them about the Cognito Inner or Outer tie rod’s that are available for the 2001-2010 Chevy/GMC 2/4WD 2500HD/3500HD trucks & 2500 SUV.

Cognito Motorsports offers a limited, lifetime warranty for all Cognito Motorsports brand products. Cognito Motorsports warrants, to the original retail purchaser, that its products are free from defects in workmanship and material for as long as the purchaser owns the vehicle on which the product was originally installed. Cognito Motorsports does not warrant any replacement part for any product. Cognito Motorsports does not warrant the product for finish, alterations, modifications, and/or original installation contrary to specifications of Cognito Motorsports.
This warranty excludes the following items: bushings, bumpstops, tie-rod ends, limiting straps, and hiem joints. These parts are subject to wear and are not considered defective when worn. They are warranted for 60 days from the date of purchase for defects in workmanship. Cognito Motorsports suspension components must be installed as a complete system. Any substitutions or exemptions of required components will immediately void the warranty. Some finish damage may happen to parts during shipping and is not covered under warranty. This warranty will not apply to any product that had been subject to accident, negligence, alteration, abuse, or misuse.
PROCEDURE FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS & RETURNS. Cognito Motorsports will not accept any warranty claims or returns without a RMA number. To obtain a RMA number, fax or email your proof of purchase (invoice or packing slip showing where and when you purchased, and the invoice or sales order number) to 661-588-8295 or , along with a short written description of the problem and a request for a RMA number.
You will receive a response within three business days with a RMA number or a request for more information needed prior to issuing a RMA.
