Questions and Answers

Sold as a pair or individual?
View Staff Answer

The Cognito UCAK100001 Tubular Upper Control Arms is sold as (1 Driver upper control arm, 1 Passenger upper control arm, (2) Heavy duty ball joints and Hardware).

What's the biggest tire you can run by adding these to an already leveled truck?
View Staff Answer

This depends on the maximum tire height recommended by the leveling kit manufacture. (The max tire size for a Cognito Leveling Kit for an ‘01-’10 GM 8-Lug is 33”x11.5” on 8” wide rim with 4 5/8” backspace. Max tire size on stock rim is 285/75/R16.)

Do they come with ball joints?
View Staff Answer

The Cognito UCAK100001 Tubular Upper Control Arms will include two heavy duty ball joints.

I have a 6 inch lift and experience some sag in the front end. Will these sturdy/lift the front to fix that? The front end of my truck does not sag tremendously. Were talking maybe half an inch. The information provided when looking at these control arms, it states "get more lift out of your lift kit" is that true? All I want is a more "sturdy" look in the front end, half inch more hight in the front tops. Thanks.
View Staff Answer
These control arms will not physically provide lift themselves. They will allow for a better ride when you increase your ride height by tightening up the torsion keys. If you are experiencing sag with a torsion bar suspension, this may be a sign of worn torsion bars. It is not recommended to tighten the keys for more lift, which may damage or break the torsion bar.
